EMDR Therapy in Shrewsbury & Wellington

Dr Galbraith provides EMDR therapy in Shrewsbury, Wellington and remotely via an online platform.

What is EMDR?

EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing) is a structured psychological therapy that helps people process and recover from distressing or traumatic experiences. During EMDR, you are guided to briefly focus on difficult memories whilst engaging in bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or tapping. This process helps the brain reprocess experiences that may have become "stuck", reducing their emotional impact and allowing them to be stored in a healthier way. EMDR is widely used to treat trauma and PTSD, and can also be effective for anxiety, phobias, low self-esteem, and other difficulties linked to upsetting life experiences.
